A Message from Diego González on behalf of the Founding Family of Aluxes
Over two decades ago, my family chose this land on the shores of the lagoon. We were taught that the Aluxes, the unseen guardians live here, and that our duty is to honor them. That became our promise.
On December 20, 2025, Aluxes will be reborn not as a hotel, but as an ADULTS-ONLY sanctuary of comfort, privacy, and guardianship. Guests will enter through El Inframundo de los Aluxes and, during their stay, be invited to become GUARDIANS OF THE LAGOON.
Our kitchen will serve ADDITIVE-FREE cuisine inspired by Maya tradition and executed with world-class craft and service. SCENARIO BAR will be a reliquary of rare, one-bottle-only agave spirits, each poured with its maker’s story and a commitment to additive transparency.
Ceremonial wellness: Temazcal, yoga, massage, and water rituals will not simply restore the body; they will RENEW THE BOND between people, land, and spirit. Every choice will honor the lagoon, the soil beneath it, and the people who keep its stories alive.

Our Chef de Autor kitchen reinterprets traditional Maya flavors with modern refinement, each crafted with respect for the land and its cycles. We honor authenticity and purity: no artificial additives, colorants, or flavorings enter our kitchen.

At Aluxes our bar is not a bar—it is a reliquary. A living library of Mexico’s most extraordinary spirits, curated bottle by bottle, each with a story, a maker, and a landscape behind it. To drink here is to participate in preservation. Every sip honors makers, ecosystems, and traditions that survive against time. We pour with transparency: additive status is disclosed, replanting efforts are shared, and fair trade is the rule.
